Write for us

Rising Sports Review welcomes clear, original pitches about the details that shape sport: how a game works, what equipment is for, how a sporting space is used, or how a custom took hold. Proposals are sent through the Contact page.

What makes a good pitch

Start with one reader question and a precise answer the piece will explore. Tell us why the subject has lasting interest, which readers it suits and what material would support the explanation. A focused idea is more useful than a broad promise to cover a whole sport.

The kind of work we want

We welcome reported explainers, comparisons, historical background and carefully framed accounts of sporting culture. Keep the language direct, define specialist terms and distinguish personal experience from claims that apply more widely. Do not send confidential material or work that depends on unverified claims.

Send a proposal

Use the Contact page to share a working title, short summary and relevant writing samples if available. Please send a proposal rather than a completed article unless requested. We cannot promise to accept or publish every submission.
